EDUCATION IN NEED OF HELP
 September 18, 2023 - Mike Schmoker, an educational consultant, author, and former club member gave us an overview of the problems facing the K-12 educational system across the country. He told us of untapped opportunities to dramatically improve K-12 schools.  His presentation can be seen by clicking HERE
TRVFA STUDENT + YOSHI PRESENTATION
 September 11, 2023 - Our TRVFA student, Jeannette, told us about her goals and how our support will help her. Club member, Yoshi gave us an excellent summary of his doctoral research project at ASU titled "Sustainable pathways for Irrigation-dependent dryland agriculture: a systems modeling approach".  His presentation was excellent and generated many questions from members.

If you are a busy person who wants to have fun while making a difference, then be our guest for lunch on Monday (not holidays) from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Olive Garden.  Currently our meetings are in person and via Zoom. WELCOME PARTY FOR XCHANGE STUDENT LOTTE
  Sept. 07, 2023 - Our club held a welcoming party for our exchange student from Germany, Lotte.
There was lots of good discussion and laughter and Lotte gave us an excellent presentation about her home and activities.

CENTER FOR THE RIGHTS OF ABUSED CHILDREN
 August 28, 2023, J Kendall Seal, Vice-President of Policy for The Center for the Rights of Abused Children, gave us an update on what the Center (formerly Generation Justice) has been doing and what the plans are for the future.  His presentation can be seen by clicking HERE.  Our club has been supporting this organization for a few years and people were pleased with what they have accomplished.
