March 20, 2021 - Volunteers Rob, Doug, Andy, and Harry installed drywall in a Habitat for Humanity house with Medhat and Fatima, the new owners, and the East Valley Lutheran Coalition builders.
Medhat and Fatima have 3 children and are originally from Egypt. The family invests 400 or more hours in its construction and then will purchase the house from Habitat at its appraised value with an interest-free mortgage with affordable payments provided by Habitat. This house is the Lutheran Coalition's 25th annual house and the Kyrene Club's 15th or 16th.
March 15, 2021 - Stephanie Mahan, Senior Administrator for the Arizona Capitol Museum, gave us some history and a good overview of the museum and its future plans. Her presentation can be seen by clicking HERE
March 8, 2021 - Curtis Dankof from the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff gave us an overview of his organization and a superb presentation on the landing of Perseverance on Mars last February. It was fascinating to watch. See his presentation by clicking HERE
