PARTY AND GIFTS FOR FAMILY

December 4, 2022 - Kyrene Rotary Club Annual party and collection of gifts for a needy family. Lots of laughter, good food and fellowship. Our incoming student and her host mother joined in the festivities. Thanks to Rotarian Scott Smith who provided keyboard music.

December 4, 2022 - Today our club held its annual Christmas party and Gift Collection. The photos show the many gifts that were collected for a very needy family.

About Our All Volunteers Club

If you are a busy person who wants to have fun while making a difference, then be our guest for lunch on Monday (not holidays) from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Olive Garden. SMITH'S SCHOOL IN JINJA UGANDA

Lynette Shaw-Smith started at Arizona State University in August 2015. Because of her experience with ESL and developmental English, she was hired

to teach WAC 107, ENG107, and ENG 108—writing classes for international students. She has also been named to the Barrett Honors Faculty due to her previous work with honors students in her classes. Because she enjoys working with students, she invites them to join her family for American experiences, like dinner at many types of restaurants, bowling, mini golf, and holiday events.

Today she presented an update on the current needs of the school she founded for the children in Jinja, Uganda.

Lynette is currently a member of the Tempe Downtown Rotary Club (former member of the Kyrene Rotary Club)

GOLF CLASSIC MORPHED TO GALA DINNER

Golf Classic Canceled

The Kyrene Rotary Club has decided that we cannot stage our golf tournament in the outstanding manner that our golfers and sponsors expect.

We made the decision to not hold the Golf Classic and instead hold a celebration dinner to raise funds for our charitable projects that encompass youth, education and the community.

Thank you for being on our list - we hope you've enjoyed our tournaments in the past. They've been a blast to stage and your participation has resulted in thousands of dollars to benefit those community members in need.
