Dec 07, 2014 - Members gathered at Gary & Mary's  home for an evening of dinner, present wrapping and fellowship.  We brought and wrapped Christmas presents for two families with eight children.  Tyler selected the family from the Boys & Girls Club attendees and will be our Santa - delivering the gifts.  Thanks to all!! Dec 1, 2014 - Darren Handy, a member of Christians in Commerce, (CIC) gave us an overview of the organization. Darren has been with the organization, which was founded in 1982, for fifteen years. According to their mission statement the overarching goal of the organization is to "bring Christ into the workplace". CIC has 9 men's and 2 women's chapters in Arizona and several chapters in other states which meet weekly. In addition they have a mixed gender group at ASU's School of Business. Part of their outreach is in Uganda where the chapter helps families in need. More detailed information about CIC can be found by clicking here.

Nov 24, 2014 - Barb Dubler & Katie Seavers, volunteers with the Assistance League - East Valley, gave us a great overview of what this organization does. They represent one chapter from over 150 chapters across the country. This is an all volunteer organization dedicated to assist and serve residents of the community. Barb and Katie described their multitude of philanthropic programs which include "Operation School Bell" and "Assault Survivor Kits". As an example, the Operation School Bell program provides new school clothing, uniforms, shoes, and hygiene kits to East Valley children in need in five school districts. Nov 24, 2014 - President Harry presented Past President John with a special leadership award plaque to express the club's gratitude for his leadership and devotion to the club for the past two years.
