November 30, 2015 - Terri Kimble, President/CEO of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce gave us a very fast paced, comprehensive view of the Chamber and business developments in Chandler. We had lots of questions and discussion and members came away from the meeting with a much better understanding of goals, plans, developments, and opportunities that exist in this thriving city.   November 2015 - We provided a combination dictionary/encyclopedia to almost all of the 3rd graders in the Phoenix Roosevelt School District.  That's over 1300 Students in 17 elementary schools! We also distributed dictionaries to the Frank Elementary School in Guadalupe.  In addition we worked with the children in each class to teach them how to look up information in their new book.  The students and teachers were wonderfully appreciative and the Rotarians and friends thoroughly enjoyed this service project.  Many of the classrooms have had no other visitors before.  This is the 8th year of service to Roosevelt 3rd graders.

November 23, 2015 - Scott Wheelwright gave an extremely enlightening presentation about his experiences and observations in China where he currently lives.  Scott has a technical background and has worked in many environments around the world. He is currently a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry in China and his wife is Chinese. He believes that there is much misinformation about China, its policies, its future, and its governance. His talk was fascinating and much too short. Most club members remained after the close of the meeting to participate in further discussion. Learn more about Scott HERE

Nov. 9 - 2015 - Peter Bearse, chair and founder of "A People's and Citizen's Congress",told us about his organization and his efforts to increase its membership and funding.  The objective of the organization is to influence congress by supporting candidates who recognize that (1) Congress is broken, and (2) find a mechanism for change.. He said that currently Congress has no way to change itself and this situation needs to be changed if our country is to remain viable and sustainable in coming years.  Peter is an optimist and tireless campaigner to accelerate the awareness of the problem and bring about a "peaceful revolution".
