September 11, 2023 - Our TRVFA student, Jeannette, told us about her goals and how our support will help her. Club member, Yoshi gave us an excellent summary of his doctoral research project at ASU titled "Sustainable pathways for Irrigation-dependent dryland agriculture: a systems modeling approach". His presentation was excellent and generated many questions from members.

August 28, 2023, J Kendall Seal, Vice-President of Policy for The Center for the Rights of Abused Children, gave us an update on what the Center (formerly Generation Justice) has been doing and what the plans are for the future. His presentation can be seen by clicking HERE. Our club has been supporting this organization for a few years and people were pleased with what they have accomplished.
August 21, 2023 - Tom Melhert, Executive Director of AZStRUT, gave us an overview of his organization. He told us that the organization was created over 25 years ago by Intel and Motorola in order to provide a vehicle to give computers to public schools in Arizona. Their mission, taken from their website is :
To improve the competitiveness of Arizona’s technical workforce by: Supporting applied learning in our educational systems through scholarships and donated electronics & technology. Providing refurbished equipment to education and community non-profit organizations. Promoting diversity through technical education and work experience Disposing electronic waste responsibly Advocating responsible recycling.
