September 24, 2016 - Thirty-five volunteers from several East Valley clubs participated in this quarterly multi-club project. Today we sorted and packed more than 10,000 pounds of food.  This means that each volunteer helped provide over 250 meals for needy families in the Valley.  Our Kyrene club had a good turnout of members and family.  We look forward to the next project in mid-December.

 Sept 19, 2016 - Nicole and Reuben from the East Valley Boys and Girls Club  gave us an overview of the various programs that the club has available. There are currently 219 kids participating in the various programs and the goal is to increase this to 275 by the end of the year. The cost is very minimal: $15 per year for residents of Guadalupe and $40 per month for non-residents. The club serves kids from 5 years to 19 years provided they are in school. Their programs include: Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Sports and Fitness Programs; and Health and Life Skills. They also have a Keystone Teen program which can provide volunteers for events which are part of our Club's service program.   They are always looking for volunteers for a variety of activities.  Sept 08, 2016 - The club held its first social event of the year at Carrabba's Restaurant on Thursday evening. We had a good turnout including a couple of family members.  There was lots of fun and laughter and everyone enjoyed themselves.  Thank you Doug for setting this up.
