June 18, 2018 - Dave Kline, a founding member of our club, gave us an overview of the Rotary International Foundation (TRF). The presentation is part of the requirement that all clubs have two such informative presentations a year. TRF is separate from our own Kyrene Rotary Club Foundation. It has three major areas - Polio, Endowment, and Annual Share. Fifty percent of the Annual Share funds are returned to the District (District Designated Funds) to support grants which are requested by the clubs. 91% 0f the funds are available for programs - this gets TRF the highest rating on Charity Navigator. The Annual Share funds are used to support activities in the following areas: - Promoting Peace, Providing Clean Water, Saving Mothers and Children, Supporting Education, Growing Local Economies, Fighting Disease.
