Dec 3, 2018 - Mark Mitchell, Mayor of the City of Tempe, gave us an overview of his and his family's past and why he thinks Tempe is such a great city. Mark gave us many statistics, like how large the city is (42 square miles), how much volunteers helped the city, how many jobs are being added, what companies are locating here, plans for a new street car, and development of a new ARTS / SCIENCE complex at the west end of Tempe Town Lake. His presentation was well received and generated much discussion. It's clear that Mark is a very enthusiastic emissary for the city and has passion for the city and where it is going.
