August 27, 2018 - District Governor for 5495, Jim Erickson, told us some of his history and how he got involved with Rotary. He posts a video most weeks that can be accessed from the District Web Site. He encouraged us to create a Myrotary account to stay current and easily make donations. (50% of Kyrene members have accounts). He discussed the need to bring in new "quality" members since we typically lose 10% per year. Jim emphasized that Rotary is a Leadership Organization that serves the community. One of Jim's passions is Ending Polio and he gave us some statistics that are encouraging but also concerning because we haven't eliminated Polio completely.
