March 13, 2017 - Vanessa Chamberlain, Director of the Cultural Wellness Center, facilitated a discussion regarding the differences in youth growing up today compared to our generation. According to her, kids today have less social skills, are apathetic, and complacent, and not willing to take risks. They have short attention spans, low frustration tolerance  and want instant gratification. The pilot program that Vanessa is leading is an attempt to address the issues that cause these behaviors. This is a nature-based program that will help youth, bring awareness to educators, and help parents keep in touch with their children.
