November 19, 2018 - Melissa Zabor is a Commissioner and Judge Pro Tem in the Maricopa County Superior Court. Formerly she practiced law as a defense attorney and then as a prosecutor. She described the court and its operations - what a heavy workload it carries. The criminal court is open 24 hours a day and schedules appearances every 3 hours. Melissa herself, works seven 11 hour shifts every 2 weeks. Her court sees about 30 - 35 people every 3 hours. They processed 72,000 people last year.
